Rio Casino to Host the World Series of Poker once more September 2017

The long-awaited return of the World Series of Poker to its brick-and-mortar home for many years, the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, has officially been announced. This event has been eagerly anticipated by poker fans for a very long time.

After being forced to take a break for two years due to Covid-19, the world's longest running live tournament series is scheduled to resume on September 30 and run through November 23.

This past Tuesday saw the publication of the official schedule for the World Series of Poker 2021, which included a total of 88 gold bracelet events with buy-in fees ranging from $4,000 all the way up to $250,000. This year's iteration of the enormous poker festival will feature some of the tournaments that have become staples of the series, including the Colossus, The Millionaire Maker, The Closer, Monster Stack, and Double Stack. Throughout the fall, each and every one of these will take place on Fridays and Saturdays.

However, in order to commemorate the event's return to the world of live poker and to the Rio, the organizers have added a large number of brand new events to the schedule. The Reunion tournament is one of these, and it has a buy-in of $500 and a guaranteed prize pool of $5 million. The competition is slated to start on October 1st this year.

Some of the new events that will be included on the schedule for the 2021 World Series of Poker include a $25,000 Heads Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship, a $1,000 Flip and Go presented by WSOP partner GGPoker, a $1,000 Seniors Doubles Up, and a Deuce to Seven Single Draw NL Returns. All of these tournaments are scheduled to take place throughout the month of October.

It is also important to remember that the Main Event will not be the only freezeout event that will take place this year. There will be a number of "Old School Freezeouts" beginning on October 6 and continuing through October 24. The buy-in amounts will range from $500 to $5,000.

The Main Event

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event is set to take place between November 4 and November 17 of this year. There will be four different beginning flights for the competition. On November 16 and 17, players will compete at the final table. A number of people who are knowledgeable with poker have speculated that the tournament might be the largest one that has ever taken place.

It is important to note that with the acquisition of British bookmaker William Hill by Caesars Entertainment Inc., the business that owns the WSOP brand, the world's biggest live tournament poker event will now come to CBS Sports.

Caesars can now reap the benefits of a media and sports betting collaboration that was established between the UK-based gambling operator William Hill and the sports division of the American television network CBS. This partnership was established as part of the acquisition of William Hill by Caesars.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) will return to its official televised home on CBS Sports in 2021. It will air coverage of the World Series of Poker Main Event for a total of 15 hours, as well as supplementary coverage of 18 separate gold bracelet tournaments for a total of 36 hours.

Ty Stewart, Executive Director of the World Series of Poker, made the following statement in reference to the forthcoming event: "the 2021 WSOP will be the real deal, and we're preparing for a full house." He continued by saying that "this year will be particularly remarkable," and that they are now arranging "for a poker reunion all players may celebrate."
